A little rain can’t stop Science Fest!
But few of our outdoors activities might have to move or be postponed:
Volcanic Eruption at the circle between Maxwell Hall and Student Building will take place as scheduled unless it is raining very hard at the scheduled time. Some eruptions may be delayed a bit, or cancelled, as the weather and safety dictate.
Paper Making with Plants at Kirkwood Hall will move from the front lawn to room 017 if rain is persistent.
Solar System Walk at the Kirkwood Observatory is a self-led outdoor walking activity. But if the rain is very hard and very persistent, it may be cancelled.
Environmental Interpretation: Experience in Dunn Woods. In case of rain, this will be moved inside of Jordan Hall atrium and some tour times may be cancelled.
Owen Hall Plaza Activities (The Rock, Mineral, and Fossil Show, Stream Table & Flume, and Make Your Own Earthquake!) will move to the Student Building, room 005 if it is raining.
Information and First-Aid will move to the 1st floor of Lindley Hall in the event of persistent rainfall.
Mapping Scavenger Hunts at the Student Building will take place rain or shine!
Outdoor physics will move to the Atrium in the Swain West Grand Entrance if it is raining.
Optometry activities (Googly–eyed gauntlet and Eyeball Toss) will move to Swain Hall room 217 if it is raining.
