Dunn Woods by the Rose Well House
(Student Building room 017 in case of rain)
Guess the age, height, and girth of the large burr oak in Dunn Woods close to the Rose Well House. Dr. Justin Maxwell will explain what tree rings are and their purpose. Each participant will draw rings on a paper plate and then then guess the age, height and girth on the back of the plate. Afterwards, the participants will learn how to measure each tree ring. There will be prizes for participating in this activity!
