People have been experimenting and studying to discover new things about the world for longer than you might realize! Come explore the fascinating histories of some of our modern sciences in the IU Department of History & Philosophy of Science & Medicine’s room in the Student Building. Watch as steel is “transmuted” into copper in an example of the sort of “transmutation” that captivated and intrigued alchemical experimenters and early chemists.
Demo will take place every 15 minutes.
