This station will explore zooarchaeology by allowing visitors to use a series of known animal bones to identify unknown specimen from remains that visitors dig out of our mock archaeological dig site.

This station will show visitors some real research projects coming from our lab by looking at the real tools and see the process it takes scientists to make digital and then physical 3-D models of objects that can be used in research or shared around the world.

This station will use real skulls to teach how you can tell an animal’s diet, survival strategies, sensory strengths, when they are most active and more just by looking at their skulls.

Take a look at the bones of fox squirrels and grey squirrels and learn about why fox squirrels glow under UV light.

Use lights on dimmers to investigate how our perception of color changes as nighttime falls or we go deeper under water.
